How to screenshot
your Wi-Fi list
Phones don't let websites peek at nearby Wi-Fi for privacy reasons — so we read it from a screenshot of your Wi-Fi settings instead.
on iPhone (iOS)
- 1
Open Settings
From the home screen, tap the grey gear icon labeled Settings. - 2
Tap Wi-Fi
It's the second row from the top, with a blue Wi-Fi icon. - 3
Wait for the list to fill
Under My Networks and Other Networks, names of nearby Wi-Fi appear. Give it a couple seconds — more keep showing up. - 4
Take a screenshot
On Face ID iPhones: press Side button + Volume Up together.
On Home-button iPhones: press Home + Side button together.
You'll see a flash and a small preview in the bottom-left corner. - 5
Come back and upload
Return to Wifi Land and tap upload a Wi-Fi screenshot. Pick the screenshot you just took.
on Android
- 1
Open Settings
Swipe down from the top of the screen and tap the gear icon, or find Settings in your app drawer. - 2
Tap Network & internet → Wi-Fi
On Samsung phones it may be called Connections → Wi-Fi. - 3
Tap “Available networks”
Some phones hide nearby names under a row called See all, Available networks, or Add network. Tap it to show the full list. - 4
Take a screenshot
Most Androids: press Power + Volume Down together.
Samsung: same combo, or swipe the edge of your hand across the screen if Palm Swipe is on. - 5
Come back and upload
Open Wifi Land again and tap upload a Wi-Fi screenshot. Choose the screenshot from your gallery.
tiny tips
- ✿ the more networks in the shot, the richer the world
- ✿ scroll down and take a second screenshot if the list is long
- ✿ blur your own network name first if you like — we don't need it
- ✿ or just type names by hand if no phone is nearby
